Through the works of the great geniuses of Florence, the exhibition illustrates, in thematic sections, the art-historical process that brought Florence to be the cradle of the Renaissance Starting from its precursors of the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries - by Nicola Pisano and Arnolfo their successors - through the early Renaissance of the fifteenth-century - Lorenzo Ghiberti and Filippo Brunelleschi - up to the maturity of the Florentine Renaissance, which starts from the second half of the ‘400 with its more prominent in those years as Donatello, Ghiberti, Nanni di Banco, Michelozzo, who influenced deeply painting by artists such as Masaccio, Paolo Uccello, Andrea del Castagno, Filippo Lippi
